How I Up-Graded Myself in Church | HOGC Academic Excellence & Holistic Development Programme3 min read

By: Kevin T.

The Heart of God Church Academic Excellence and Holistic Development (AE) programme motivates and empowers youth to excel in school, have great relationships with their family, and do good in church. AE initiatives include AE sermons, a Study Buddy app, a study rule, study spaces in church, and much more!

Beyond academic progress, students also develop in skillset, leadership and confidence, mature in character, and grow to make a difference in the lives of others.

Here are three stories of how our youths have had their lives changed through the AE programme.

Riady was born with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects muscle coordination. This means that activities such as writing, walking, and speaking are not easy tasks for him. However, the AE programme encouraged Riady to rise above these challenges. Eventually, he graduated from Nanyang Technological University and started his full-time career. His story was even featured in the local Chinese newspaper, Lianhe Zaobao!
