As part of our ongoing Heart for our Heroes initiative, the young people of Heart of God Church wanted to honour the unsung heroes in our community. So, they packed and distributed 300 care packs to the cleaning staff of the Tampines Round Market & Food Centre.
A special shout-out to our friends in the community who joined us in this initiative: Masjid Darul Ghufran, Tampines Chinese Temple, North East Community Development Council, Tampines Town Council and Tampines Group Representation Constituency.
We were also joined by Member of Parliament, Ms Cheng Li Hui to give out the 300 care packs! Our youths had a great time interacting with her too!
Seeing the smiles of the cleaning staff as they received the care packs brought indescribable joy to the volunteers. Despite the COVID-19 situation, these cleaning staff put themselves out there every single day and serve the community. Your service may sometimes be overlooked, but it is an integral part of our lives. We appreciate and thank you!
Let’s continue appreciating all our frontline warriors who are giving their best every day for the sake of others. A simple smile and thank you can make a difference!
