Heart Community Services (HCS) was established in 2008 to provide financial and educational support, as well as social services to the local community.
Through HCS, pocket money, opportunity grants and scholarships are disbursed to young people from less well-to-do backgrounds, or whose families are going through a financial crisis.
To everyone who donated to HCS, thank you for your generosity! We hope these stories of beneficiaries impacted will encourage you and warm your heart. For more information on HCS including ways you can give, click here.
It wasn't any special occasion, until I received this camera as a gift from the church.
I was so moved when I received the news...
Growing up, we often didn’t have enough money to buy food for the week...
This year, I had the chance to go on a mission trip to Strong Church Conference Hong Kong! I was already saving up for it but my leaders told me that church wanted to bless me and subsidise part of the cost. I couldn't believe it!
In university, church awarded me a scholarship. This allowed me to use my time to volunteer in the community. I even won the NextGen Young Community Leader Award presented by Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
At 17, I was placed on our church's fund that provides financial support for youths with less well-to-do backgrounds. Because of God, I have faith and hope for my life. Because of church, I am believed in, encouraged and built.
